Police located a victim, 34-year-old Christina Donzero, deceased in a bedroom suffering from multiple stab wounds. The second victim, 75-year-old Betti “Suzanne” Thevenet Donzero, was found in the garage of the home, also suffering from several stab wounds. They were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
Deputies located the suspect, 41-year-old Kirk Hysell Jr., in the bathroom of the home. He suffered from multiple self-inflicted injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Detectives say Hysell told his daughter that he had killed his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s mother, which prompted her to call 911.
According to detectives, Hysell admitted to the murders and initially planned to kill the whole family. He also stated he planned to kill his other family members and if he got out, he would “do it again”.
Hysell remains in the hospital and will be transported to the Pinellas County Jail when released. He’s been charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder.
