🎓 AAUW International Fellowship Program 2025 | Fully Funded Study in the USA

Exciting Opportunity! Applications for the AAUW International Fellowship Program 2025–2026 are now open. This prestigious, fully funded fellowship is offered by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and supports women from around the world in pursuing graduate and postgraduate studies in the United States.

Established in 1917, the fellowship initially supported women from Latin America but now includes applicants from over 150 countries. Over the years, more than 3,600 women have received support through this transformative program.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Gender: Identify as a woman

  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of a country other than the United States

  • Residency: Must not hold U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or dual U.S. citizenship

  • Education:

    • Hold an academic degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree by November 15, 2024

    • Master’s/Doctoral applicants must have applied to a U.S. institution for the 2025–2026 academic year

    • Postdoctoral applicants must hold a research doctorate (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., D.B.A., M.F.A.) by November 15, 2024

  • Academic Plans:

    • Must be enrolled in a U.S. institution during the fellowship year

    • Must intend to return to their home country to pursue a professional career

    • Must pursue full-time study or research (part-year or online-only programs are not eligible)

  • English Proficiency:

    • TOEFL required unless the applicant meets an exemption through prior study at an English-language institution

    • Minimum TOEFL scores:

      • 550 (Paper-based)

      • 79 (Internet-based)

      • 60 (Revised Paper-delivered)

  • Other Requirements:

    • Strong academic background and professional potential

    • Demonstrated commitment to community engagement or development

    • Proof of financial need may be required
